Nutritional Therapy is like a salad sandwich, you only get out of it what you put into it. It’s a team effort with us working together to get you back on track. I’m not telling you what to do – I’m giving you the information that you need so that you can make your own educated decisions on what to do with your own body. So it’s also fine if you don’t follow my recommendations (I honestly won’t be upset) – at least you’ll have made an educated decision: you know where the path that you’ve chosen leads and are comfortable with that.
You would start off the process by filling in a health questionnaire. This asks questions about your current nutrition and diet, lifestyle, medical history, family history, medication/supplements and symptoms. As you can imagine, this is quite thorough. The questionnaire is an unintentional mini-test. If you look at it and think ‘I can’t be bothered to fill that in’ then you’re probably not ready to progress down the Nutritional Therapy pathway yet. You’ll find filling in a form is so much easier than having to make diet and lifestyle changes.
During the first session I’ll ask you more in depth questions to find out what is affecting your health. We’ll discuss different methods that you could try to help with these and negotiate how you can achieve these. If you feel uncertain about something – speak up – and we can work it out together and you, too, can say:
